General Data Protection Regulation

How Correlate ensures your data is protected

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the result of four years work by the European Union to unify and strengthen data protection for all citizens in the EU.

GDPR gives you more control over how your data is used, while to us, it will be a simple legal environment where we can operate. That makes this change desirable for both parties!

The GDPR regulation came into effect on the 25th May 2018. Correlate has updated our products, procedures, and policies to meet the GDPR regulation. Correlate's appointed Data Protection Officer is Norbert Kéri –

Data Portability & Management Tools

Correlate does not currently allow for importing of data. We plan to add more import options in the future, based on user feedback.

Correlate supports exporting in one way. Contact us for exporting your information. We plan to add more options where it is possible to export an entire project from the settings menu. This will create a folder containing all documents in a markdown format.

Workspace deletion

You can deleted a team or a personal at any time from the settings menu. Upon requesting to delete, all content will immediately become inaccessible. After 30 days, the content will be deleted from our servers and can no longer be recovered.

Team & Account settings

We provide tools to manage team and account settings, such as name, members, permissions, and avatars from our settings menu.

For European customers, we show a consent dialog during signup that explains our data collection practices. Therefore, our lawful basis for collecting personal data is consent.

We use cookies to securely identify your account and keep you signed in.

We use analytics services to improve the product and troubleshoot customer issues. These include Intercom and Google Analytics.

A customer may withdraw their consent and delete their account at any time by deleting their account and/or team via our settings menu.
